Τhis advanced grammar is both a comprehensive reference book and a challenging and interesting activity book designed for the advanced learner. It is ideal for learners preparing for the University of Michigan ECPE, but it also provides support to learners preparing for any advanced-level examination (TOEFL,TOEIC, CPE, etc.).

Each unit has the following components:
- Warm-up activities (identification activities, error- correction, rephrasal, etc.)
- Reference section with comprehensive explanations and carefully chosen examples
- A section with a wide variety of activities that help learners fully consolidate their understanding of grammar with regards to form, function and meaning.
- A special section with exam-oriented practice in the form of twenty multiple-choice grammar problems and a ten-item cloze passage.

There are review units throughout the book as well as a series of extensive supplementary tests at the end of the book.
