Σκοπός των δοκιμίων αυτών είναι η μεταλαμπάδευση του πνεύματος του Επίκουρου στον 21ο αιώνα.\u003cbr\u003eΟι αποκαλύψεις του Επίκουρου στάθηκαν ένα ιδεολογικό ανάχωμα ενάντια στις πολυάριθμες και ανησυχητικές αντιλήψεις που προπαγάνδιζαν από κοινού κάθε λογής ηθικολόγοι, θεολόγοι, \"προφήτες\", αστρολόγοι και άλλοι αγύρτες, που αντλούσαν οφέλη από την εκμετάλλευση της άγνοιας και του φόβου. Ενάντια σ' όλους αυτούς εκστράτευσαν σαν πύρινη θύελλα οι Επικούρειοι στον Μεσογειακό κόσμο, μοιράζοντας σοφία και παρηγοριά, οργανωμένοι σε φιλοσοφικές σχολές -μια παράδοση που είχε αρχίσει με τον Επίκουρο και συνεχίστηκε αδιάλειπτα επί έξι αιώνες.
