Ακόμα: η εικονογραφική διάνθιση.Τα στοιχεία του κειμένου βασίζονται σε αρχέτυπες και άλλες πηγές τεκμηρίωσης. Μάλιστα αρκετά απ' αυτά παρουσιάζονται για πρώτη φορά, ανατρέπουν παλαιότερες δημοσιεύσεις, είτε συμπληρώνουν νεότερες. Ας σημειώσουμε εδώ, ότι πολλοί αρχαίοι και νεότεροι συγγραφείς αλλά και περιηγητές, ασχολήθηκαν με τη Νίσυρο όπως: Απολλόδωρος Στράβων, Αντίπατρος Σκύλαξ, Παυσανίας Διόδωρος Σικελιώτης, Πλίνιος, Ευστάθιος Θεσσαλός κ.ά. [...]\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e[...] Το βιβλίο που έχετε στα χέρια σας, δεν ακολουθεί περιδιαβάσεις με ανάλογη ξενάγηση. Κι αυτό γιατί θελήσαμε να μην προκαθορίσουμε τις διαδρομές του επισκέπτη. Το νησί είναι μικρό. Οι αμαξιτοί δρόμοι συγκεκριμένοι. Κατάφορτο όμως και διάσπαρτο από αξιοθέατα κι άλλα ενδιαφέροντα. Την πρωτοβουλία και τις επιλογές, ας τις χαράξει ο ίδιος ο περιηγητής σύμφωνα με τις επιθυμίες του, το χρόνο που διαθέτει, τη διάθεση της στιγμής και την ιεράρχηση που θα προδιαγράψει. Δεν ενισχύουμε την άποψη ότι ο επισκέπτης δεν ενδιαφέρεται για πολλές \"προσλαμβάνουσες παραστάσεις\". Ας μην υποτιμούμε την νοημοσύνη του. Πιστεύουμε ότι ένα βιβλάο αυτής της κατηγορίας, επιβάλλεται να παρέχει επαρκή και σφαιρική πληροφόρηση για κάθε τι. Για αποδέκτη κάθε επιπέδου και κουλτούρας. Ως πόλοι έλξης θεωρούνται από πολλούς: το προσκήνυμα της Παναγιάς Σπηλιανής και η επίσκεψη στους κρατήρες του ηφαιστείου. Δεν είναι μόνο αυτοί. Το μεγαλείο της τέχνης και του πολιτισμού βρίσκεται διάσπαρτο τόσο στις ιστορικές θέσεις όσο και στα μνημεία της Ορθοδοξίας και γιατί όχι στη σύγχρονη ζωή και την ιδιότυπη φύση της.
