Οι παλιές φωτογραφίες προέρχονται από τη Συλλογή του Νίκου Πολίτη, ενώ η σημερινή φωτογράφηση έγινε από τον Λεωνίδα Κουργιαντάκη. \u003cbr\u003eΕπικοινωνιακός κόμβος μεταξύ Βορρά-Νότου, Ανατολής-Δύσης, η Πάτρα, όπως γράφει ο Νίκος Μπακουνάκης, πόλη της συνύπαρξης και της ανοχής, στέγασε κάτω από την κοινή στέγη της θρησκείες, γλώσσες, φυλές. Δικαίως λοιπόν θα τη γιορτάσουμε ως πολιτιστική πρωτεύουσα της Ευρώπης, άλλωστε από την Πάτρα ο πρωτοπόρος ρομαντικός Ανδρέας Ρηγόπουλος έριξε την ιδέα της Ευρώπης των Λαών από τον 19ο αιώνα κιόλας.
