Στηριζόμενη σε πρωτογενή στατιστικά στοιχεία προχωρά σε ανάλυση των κομβικών αιτίων διάλυσης των σοσιαλιστικών οικονομιών και επεκτείνεται στην ανάλυση αυτών των οικονομιών στο πρώτο στάδιο μετάβασης προς την οικονομία της αγοράς. Παράλληλα, μελετά σε κλαδικό επίπεδο τις οικονομίες και προσδιορίζει τον επιχειρηματικό και πολιτικό κίνδυνο για κάθε μια από αυτές. Ειδική αναφορά και ανάλυση γίνεται για τις ξένες επενδύσεις στις χώρες αυτές, με έμφαση στις πραγματοποιηθείσες ελληνικές, ενώ προδιαγράφει τους κλάδους με επενδυτικό ενδιαφέρον.
