Apparently, two to three species are not found in Greece. Ίσως να μην αγγίζει την τελειότητα, ίσως για ορισμένα είδη η έρευνα και η μελέτη να είναι ελλιπής, ίσως κάποια φωτογραφία να μην είναι η πιο αντιπροσωπευτική, ίσως χρειαστούν κι άλλα ταξίδια για να εξερευνηθούν όλα εκείνα τα μέρη όπου δεν μπορέσαμε να πάμε κι όλα εκείνα τα είδη που δεν καταφέραμε να δούμε από κοντά και να ξεκαθαρίσουμε -ει δυνατόν- την υπόστασή τους. Όμως η προσπάθεια ν’ αναδείξουμε όλον αυτό τον αστείρευτο πλούτο της πατρίδας μας, στο μεγαλύτερο βαθμό, επετεύχθη. Και λέμε αστείρευτο γιατί κάθε μέρα που περνά μαθαίνουμε όλο και κάτι καινούργιο, όλο και πληθαίνουν τα είδη, τα υποείδη και οι ποικιλίες αυτών των πανέμορφων και εκθαμβωτικών λουλουδιών που υπάρχουν γύρω μας και δεν σταματούν να μας εκπλήσσουν.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eΜαζί λοιπόν, φίλε αναγνώστη, θα ανακαλύψουμε αυτό το συναρπαστικό και εκθαμβωτικό κόσμο των ορχεοειδών της Ελλάδας. Έγινε μεγάλη προσπάθεια για να απλοποιηθεί η παρουσίαση και να κατανοηθεί, όσο γίνεται καλύτερα, η συνεχώς διογκούμενη προσθήκη νέων ειδών, υποειδών και ποικιλιών.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eΠιστεύουμε ότι η παρούσα έκδοση συμπεριλαμβάνει την πλήρη καταγραφή όλων των ονομάτων και όλων των ειδών, που αναφέρονται στον ελληνικό χώρο, μέχρι και το τέλος του 2012. Προφανώς δυο-τρία είδη να μην απαντούν στην Ελλάδα. Τα συμπεριλάβαμε όμως για να μπορέσει ο κάθε ενδιαφερόμενος να τα αναγνωρίσει, αν τα συναντήσει, και να ολοκληρωθεί έτσι η όλη καταγραφή και καταμέτρηση του ελληνικού πλούτου.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eΒεβαίως, η έρευνα για τον εντοπισμό, τη μελέτη και την αποσαφήνιση ορισμένων ειδών δεν σταματά.
