This publication is set to analyze the aspects that hold a key role in the success of these policies.\u003cbr\u003eCreating the proper investment environment to attract new investments in energy infrastructure is a complex task that spans from the adequacy of the regulatory framework to the proper integration of renewable energy resources and from setting the preconditions for a well functioning internal energy market to the targeted allocation of funds for the construction of new energy interconnections. Έτσι, συνήθως το έργο του φτάνει σε μας μέσα από γενικευτικές και αφηρημένες κρίσεις για την κάπως ανιαρή έννοια της «αξιολογικής ουδετερότητας» και την κατασκευή των «ιδεατών τύπων». Με αυτόν όμως τον τρόπο, αποκρύπτεται η περιπλοκότητα και ο πλούτος των βεμπεριανών μεθοδολογικών πραγματεύσεων. Ακόμη χειρότερα, παραγνωρίζονται τα πολιτικά ενδιαφέροντα που δίνουν παλμό στη θεωρητική σκέψη του Weber, ενώ την ίδια στιγμή συγκαλύπτονται οι δεσμοί που τον ενώνουν με συγγραφείς οι οποίοι άσκησαν μια εκ βάθρων κριτική σε θεμελιώδεις πτυχές της καπιταλιστικής κοινωνίας και της δυτικής νεωτερικότητας – δεσμοί τόσο θεωρητικοί όσο και προσωπικοί. Με αφορμή τη συμπλήρωση εκατό χρόνων από τον θάνατό του, τα κείμενα του τόμου επιχειρούν να αντιστρέψουν αυτό το κλίμα, ανοίγοντας νέες προοπτικές.
