Ο τόμος που είναι αποτέλεσμα της συνεργασίας του εκδοτικού οίκου με την εκδοτική επιτροπή που συνέστησαν μαθητές και συνεργάτες του Καθηγητή Ταρνανίδη αποτελεί ένδειξη τιμής και σεβασμού προς το πρόσωπό του για τη μακρά προσφορά του ως πανεπιστημιακού δασκάλου και ως επιστήμονα ερευνητή που αφιερώθηκε στη μελέτη και ανάδειξη των ελληνοσλαβικών πνευματικών και πολιτιστικών σχέσεων από την περίοδο των μέσων χρόνων μέχρι και σήμερα. Ο τόμος περιλαμβάνει ένα σύντομο βιογραφικό, καθώς και αναλυτική εργογραφία του Καθηγητή Ταρνανίδη και ακολουθεί σειρά εικοσιπέντε (25) άρθρων διακεκριμένων επιστημόνων από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό αφιερωμένων στην πνευματική και πολιτιστική ιστορία του σλαβικού κόσμου.
